Comments: A speedy jeep drive to a village saw this and some other specimens come into my possession. This rare mineral Oxide of Zirconium, beautifully presented in its granite matrix made my heart trip when I first laid eyes on it. I knew then that I was in for a very rewarding day. Painite,Hambergite, Zircon and some others were presented to me. A few gifts of Opal especially for the wives helps to loosen the trade strings with the miners.Up until painite was discovered at Mogok the only known painite specimen was housed at an English Museum in London. It is today rapidly becoming very scarce again as the pocket plays out.
